It doesn't seem like that long ago that I was sworn in to this session of Congress, yet it's already August. The only forester in Congress, Westerman sits on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and is the ranking member of the House Subcommittee on Water Resources and the Environment. That subcommittee has, among other responsibilities, jurisdiction over civilian Army Corps of Engineers programs, as well as the water quality and infrastructure programs from the EPA.
