The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday (September 26) passed H.R. 302, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018. Included in the legislation was H.R. 4395, the Geospatial Data Act, which Congressman Bruce Westerman (AR-04) introduced with Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-06) in November 2017. H.R. 4395 would prevent duplicative data purchases by federal agencies and modernize the collection of said data, which would save an untold amount of the American taxpayers’ money.
