I was recently asked to summarize 2023 in one word; I had to take a moment to consider the complexities and challenges we faced this year. Initially, I said, “complicated,” but I recognize that because 2023 has not been a simple year, it’s difficult to sum it up in one word. Our nation experienced some trying times this year, but Americans remained resilient.
The holiday season is often busy for most, and it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of Christmas parties, last-minute shopping, and travel arrangements. Amid the excitement, I hope you will join me to pause and reflect on our blessings in life, and all we have to be thankful for.
In yet another attack on consumer rights, the Biden Administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed an aggressive de facto mandate for two-thirds of all new vehicles to be electric in less than ten years. This ban on the sale of gasoline-powered cars and the mandate for the sale of EVs is just another part of Biden’s radical Green New Deal agenda.
Earlier this year, the Biden Administration waived sanctions to allow the transfer of $6 billion in Iranian financial assets in exchange for the release of five American hostages. The Administration claims the funds are used for “humanitarian” purposes.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Americans consume more than 46 million turkeys each year on Thanksgiving, many of which are produced in the Natural State.

As global conflict persists, it is imperative that we continue to recognize the hard work and sacrifices made by servicemembers, veterans, and their families so we can live in freedom.
One in every five students has a language-based learning disability, most commonly dyslexia. Although dyslexia is such a common condition and much headway has occurred, all too often schools are not well equipped to diagnose and treat it.

At the time of this writing, we still have no Speaker of the House, and every day that goes by without a plan will have massive implications for the future of our nation.
