Our Nation Grieves Together

The coordinated terrorist attacks on our troops and innocent civilians in Kabul, Afghanistan by ISIS was nothing less than a tragedy. Thirteen servicemen lost their lives in the mission to protect Americans and all human life in the face of true evil. My heart goes out to the families of those who were injured or killed. The nation grieves together with the loved ones of these heroes.

We owe everything to our men and women in uniform and there is nothing we can do to properly express our gratitude for their bravery and dedication to freedom. What our military accomplished in Kabul so far is incredible, saving over 100,000 people from unimaginable fates at the hands of the Taliban since August 15. In horrific circumstances, these men and women stepped up to the plate. They put their own lives at risk to save as many civilians as they can. There is nothing more honorable than to put your life on the line for strangers and this nation will never forget their bravery and sacrifice.

Please join me in praying for the men, women and children in Afghanistan who are desperately trying to survive another night. Pray for the physical safety and mental wellbeing of our soldiers and pray for peace for the families of our fallen heroes.
