It's an Honor to Serve
As the year comes to a close, I appreciate time to take a step back and reflect. It is my highest honor to represent you in Congress and I consider the greatest responsibility to serve each and every member of the Fourth District. Thank you to those who have reached out to my office to share concerns, bring pressing issues to my attention, host visits in Arkansas, and much more.
My office values service to our constitutes above all else. This year my staff helped 1042 constitutes through casework, processed 147,344 pieces of constituent mail, and sent constituents 14 flags flown over the U.S. Capitol. I enjoyed my time spent in all 33 counties in the Fourth District to visit with residents and meet with local officials.
We have been able to accomplish wonderful things this year including leading the charge to reverse OMB's MSA population threshold rule change that would have hurt cities and local economies in Arkansas, traveling the district for the Hometown Heroes Tour and my annual Agriculture Tour, and introducing nine bills in Congress.
Those bills included the VOTER ID Act to require states to conduct post-election audits and publicly share the results before key election certification dates, the Keeping our Promises Act to add six diseases to the Department of Veterans Affairs list of medical conditions eligible for benefits due to exposure to Agent Orange, and the Trillion Trees Act to solidify the United States as a global leader of the One Trillion Trees Initiative to conserve, restore and grow one trillion trees worldwide.
I also cosponsored many pieces of legislation including a bill to posthumously award the Congressional Gold Medal to the 13 US military service members who were killed in Afghanistan in August which was just recently signed by President Biden.
Please reach out to my office with any questions or concerns you may have. 2021 has been a fantastic year, and the wins that the Fourth District had this year wouldn't have been possible without the help and hard work of many constituents. As we enter a new year, I am excited for what is to come and the chance to continue to serve the great state of Arkansas.
