From my family to yours, happy Thanksgiving! I hope you will join me in taking time to enjoy moments with friends and family and reflect on all that we have to be grateful for this year. This year in particular, I am thankful for the drive each of us has to make the United States a better place. So often, it is easy to be caught up in politics and the division created by different perspectives on how to make America a more perfect union.

While disagreement is difficult, we are better when the core of our conflict is the innate desire to help one another and make America a better place for everyone. No matter what side of the aisle you may fall, I hope we are united in the love of our country. This Thanksgiving, let us determine to give grace and respect to one another at the dinner table and beyond. Unity begins with the agreement in our love for God, our fellow man, and the greatest country in the world. We are truly fortunate to live in the land of the free, where we may practice free speech, engage in debate, and work together toward a better future. I am truly grateful to call the United States home.
