In Defense of Life
One of the most basic human rights is the right to life. It’s the first right the Founding Fathers outlined in the Declaration of Independence, and it’s a right men and women have fought to protect for generations. But sadly, we continue seeing many deny this right to life to millions of unborn children in America. I am and always will be pro-life, because I believe everyone deserves this fundamental, God-given right.
January 22 marked the 47th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, and hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates traveled to cities across the country to stand up for life. President Trump was the first U.S. president to attend the rally in D.C., marking yet another way this administration has publicly defended unborn children.
Of course, being pro-life means that we value the sanctity of all life, not just the unborn. We should speak on behalf of the voiceless, support parents and families in difficult situations and come alongside anyone struggling in our communities. It’s my honor to defend life in Congress, primarily by voting for legislation that protects unborn children. I hope you’ll join me this month and in the years to come in speaking on behalf of our nation’s most vulnerable citizens.
