Westerman Reacts to Passage of NDAA
WASHINGTON - Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the bipartisan James M. Inhofe NDAA for FY 2023. Rep. Bruce Westerman (AR-04) released the following statement:
"I am proud to vote yes on the bipartisan National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2023," said Westerman. "This NDAA is focused on increasing our military readiness and empowering a robust national defense by ensuring our service men and women have the tools they need to properly defend our nation. The bill delivers a slew of Republican wins, including freeing our military from any COVID-19 vaccine mandates, substantially investing in military modernization and shipbuilding to deter and compete with China, and reversing suggested cuts to our missile defense programs by President Joe Biden. What’s more, the NDAA continues strong investments in defense programs in Camden, which is vital for the 4th Congressional District. I am glad to support an NDAA that is good for Arkansas and defends America."
