Early childhood program gets $3.2 million boost

A $3.2 million grant has been allocated to provide comprehensive early childhood and preschool services in five south Arkansas counties.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services money will go to Families and Children Together Inc., which provides Head Start services to children in Calhoun, Columbia, Dallas, Ouachita and Union counties, according to a statement by Republican U.S. Sens. John Boozman and Tom Cotton and Rep. Bruce Westerman of Arkansas.
