5 in delegation visit back home
Arkansas' all-Republican congressional delegation returns to Washington this week with the rest of Congress after a two-week break.
U.S. Sen. John Boozman of Rogers made several stops around the state, including the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet and Eaton Corp. in Mountain Home on Tuesday, the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas and Hytrol Conveyor Co. Inc. in Jonesboro on Tuesday, and the Arkansas Leadership Prayer Breakfast at the Governor's Mansion on Thursday.
On Thursday, U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford of Jonesboro spoke to a MacArthur Junior High EAST class to highlight the students' work with the Downtown Jonesboro Association on the Downtown Jonesboro Mural Project 2015. The students helped find an artist and pick a design for a mural to showcase the city's history and culture.
U.S. Reps. Bruce Westerman of Hot Springs and French Hill of Little Rock participated in a radio interview Wednesday with Tom Nichols on Hot Springs Village's KVRE-FM, 92.9, to discuss their first 100 days in Congress. On Monday, the two freshmen toured the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Hot Springs Village straddles the 2nd and 4th Congressional Districts.
