Interning in the Nation’s Capitol
Are you a college student or recent graduate with an interest in government and policy? Come join my office as an intern! We are always looking for talented young people from Arkansas to join our team, both in the district and in D.C. offices.
As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to give Capitol tours, work with constituents, attend briefings and complete research projects. If you’d like to learn more about a specific policy issue – particularly natural resources, forestry, transportation and infrastructure, healthcare or juvenile justice – my legislative assistants will work individually with you to research bills and host meetings.
Before I was even elected to Congress, one of my mottos was, “Compete to win. Abide in love. Succeed through service.” I’m incredibly blessed to have full-time staff who embody these principles daily, and I always enjoy seeing each season’s interns learn from them and further their career goals.
If you or someone you know would like to apply, email a resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2019, but would still like to hear from you if you’re interested in a future spring or summer position. As always, give my office a call at 202-225-3772 if you have any questions.
