Westerman, Bishop, Western Members of Congress Hold Press Conference on Wildfire Threat

Congressman Bruce Westerman (AR-04), chair of the House Natural Resources Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, held a press conference on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at 10 a.m. to discuss the current wildfire threat in the western United States, a fix to USDA Forest Service fire borrowing, and legislation to improve management of the country’s federal forests. Westerman introduced the Resilient Federal Forests Act (H.R. 2936) on June 20, 2017. The bill passed the House Natural Resources Committee on June 27, 2017, and passed the House Committee on Agriculture on October 4, 2017.
