Infrastructure Key to Economic Growth
This week, President Donald Trump discussed improving infrastructure across the United States. Since taking office in January, the president has been a champion of increased infrastructure spending and bringing American transportation into the 21st Century.
In the Fourth Congressional District, we have many infrastructure projects of national significance. Interstates 49 and 69 will create uninterrupted paths from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian border, greatly improving the flow of goods through North America. Additionally, maintenance and other improvements are needed along the Arkansas River, a busy inland waterway that moves tons of product to ports in Arkansas and Oklahoma, removing untold numbers of 18-wheelers from Interstate 40.
As Congress continues working with President Trump (who has had the most bills signed into law during his first 100 days of any president since Ronald Reagan), I look forward to seeing ideas for improvements become law. New roads and improved waterways are the key to economic growth in #ar4.
