Since serving in the Arkansas House of Representatives, I have worked in a bipartisan effort to combat human trafficking in the Natural State. That effort has continued since becoming a member of Congress.

Immediately upon taking office in January 2015, I co-sponsored H.R. 159, the Stop Exploitation Through Trafficking Act which was passed by Congress and signed by the president on January 27, 2015, in addition to several other bills aimed at stopping human trafficking in America.

Today I voted for H.R. 5422, a bill to ensure funding for the National Human Trafficking Hotline. According to the Polaris Project, nearly 30,000 cases of human trafficking have been identified through the national hotline and the number keeps growing. That is why I will continue to fight human trafficking until there are no more victims.

If you suspect human trafficking is happening near you, call the hotline at (888) 373-7888.
